”Hi! Here I am! I am sitting on the roof of ”Pooh Corner” in
Hartfield.”
Hartfield is a pretty village 35 miles south of London. Visitors from
the area, England, Europe, America and even Japan come here. They want
to visit Pooh Country known by the books ”Winnie the Pooh” and ”The House
at Pooh Corner” and many cartoons, games and stuff..
About 70 years ago little Christopher Robin was riding his donkey Jessica
to this shop to buy some sweets. Christopher Robin spent many weekends
and holdays on nearby Cotchford Farm together with his parents, his Nanny
and his toys Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Kanga and Roo. The beautiful
surroundings of the farm made a wonderful, enchanted area to play. Christopher
Robin’s father, author A.A. Milne, wrote down their adventures in Posingford
Wood and Ahdown Forest. He added the characters of Owl and Rabbit. The
books are translated into 32 languages. Pooh is the best loved bear of
all times.
”What? Me?” asked Pooh. He seemed quite astonished.
